Lori Ann Rutkowski, an instructor in University at Buffalo, andDr. Antonio R. Roman of East Amherst, a cardiology fellow in UBaffiliated hospitals, were married Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. MarkCatholic Church.
Monsignor Francis Braun performed the ceremony for the daughterof Mr. and Mrs. Adam E. Rutkowski of Littlefield Avenue and the sonof Dr. Rafael Roman of Santurce, Puerto Rico, and Cecilia Smith ofSarasota, Fla. A reception was given in Holiday Inn, Grand Island.
After a trip to Cape Cod, Mass., the couple will live in EastAmherst.
A graduate of UB where she earned a master's degree, the bride,a St. Mary High School graduate, is a doctoral candidate incommunications in UB.
The bridegroom earned bachelor's and master's degrees inFordham University and a master's in public health as a Fulbrightscholar. He is a graduate of University of Rochester School ofMedicine and was a resident in Yale University affiliated hospitals.
